In 1904, just 5 years after its formation, Alconbury FC won their first trophy, The Fellows Junior Cup. During the next 35 years Alconbury continued to be successful, winning the local Junior League on 5 occasions and also appearing in no fewer than 10 cup finals, winning half of them. After the war years the club again courted success winning the Hunts League Division 3 in 1954, Division 2 in 1956 and Division 1 in 1960. In 1962 Alconbury became the top side in local football as they once again won Division 1 as well as lifting both the Junior Cup and the Benevolent Cup whilst finishing runners up in two other competitions. There followed a lapse in success as players moved on to more senior clubs. The club started to blood some young players, a decision that was to prove correct as Alconbury won the League and Cup double in 1968, 1969 and 1970 as well as other successful campaigns. Alconbury FC decided that a new challenge was needed and they were duly elected into the Peterborough & District Football League. Their first game was against Moulton who had also joined the league in the 1978-79 season, playing out a 0-0 draw at their Old Brooklands ground. Alconbury FC once again welcome the opportunity of playing in the P&DFL Premier Division, P&DFL Combination 1 and the St Neots & District Sunday League.
